IN-PERSON INTERPRETING
In-person interpreting, also referred to as face-to-face or on-site interpreting, involves a scheduled appointment where a spoken language interpreter meets with a client at a designated location for an assignment. This type of service enables effective communication between two parties who speak different languages.
At Defrilex, we prioritize the quality of our language interpreters and believe it starts with finding the right candidates. Our newly contracted interpreters go through a rigorous screening process to ensure they can provide the highest level of interpretation services. We select interpreters who are not only fluent in both languages being interpreted but also possess knowledge of dialects and subject matter expertise required for accurate interpretation. Our network of interpreters includes those certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and other national certifying organizations for American Sign Language interpretation.
We have experience in providing interpretation services in all types of scenarios and settings including:
Conferences & Seminars | Depositions, Trials and Hearings |
Client Meetings | Arbitration’s |
Medical Appointments | Employee Interviews |
Recorded Statements | Religious Functions |
Employee Training | Guided Tours |
Parent/Teacher Conferences | Government agencies! |
In consecutive interpretation, the speaker pauses while the interpreter delivers the interpretation in blocks of words or sentences.
In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter interprets while the speaker is talking without any pauses in the flow of conversation. Typically, a simultaneous interpreter sits in a sound-proof booth to interpret in real-time, while listeners wear headphones.
